A dynamic and professional organisation is looking to hire a mid-level sales person to join their team. This individual must have a proven track record and a solid understanding of business and the sales journey, to sell exhibition space at their shows. The company is a small team of driven individuals who organises, amongst others, the largest and most successful expo in its category in Southern Africa.
The successful candidate will need to have minimum 3-4 years of sales experience, be well presented, professional, positive, motivated and friendly.
Job Type: Permanent position, after successful completion of an agreed probationary period.

Start: ASAP, June/July 2017
Own transport & valid drivers licence required
Mandatory Requirements:
• Matric or equivalent
• Proven experience generating new clients and sales for previous businesses & comfortable with cold-calls & making new contacts
• Fundamental understanding of business
• Excellent communication skills & etiquette (Written, telephonic etc)
• Comfortable with computers eg CRM systems & MS Office.

Main responsibilities:
• To grow and maintain a client base at the company
• To achieve agreed-upon sales targets
• Meet with clients, understand their business needs & promote the benefits of exhibiting with the company
• Actively participate in regular sales meetings
• To attend the exhibitions in order to cultivate and maintain client relationships

Reporting structure:
This business has a flat management structure with hands-on management. Direct reporting will be to the Sales Directors, but there is high involvement from everyone in this dynamic business.
Salary & package:
• Standard basic & high potential to earn commission
• Benefits such as medical aid will be negotiated
• Flexible work hours can be discussed
• Travel around South Africa may be required from time to time for 2-3 days for client meetings, and for 5-6 Days for regional shows
