We at MED Assist have a passion for helping people. Our goal is to provide a rapid response service to a call out with the backup of a registered medical service provider. At MED Assist we strive to give patience the best response that is available in an emergency. In the medical industry it is referred to as the golden hour we are trying to achieve a maximum time of 25 minutes to scene. The current response time for most ambulances to a scene excluding MVA is roughly an hour to 6 hours which means for house calls you can wait quite a while depending on how they rate the severity of the case. So what we have in place is a first responder system which once a call comes in a first responder will be dispatched to the requested location and will make the call for a medical transport or if it is not deemed serious enough that the patient can be transported with a family member. One of the biggest struggles we are having in South Africa is the lack of medical professional services and personnel for the ambulances this is where MED Assist will step in and help streamline the care and priority of the patients. What we at MED Assist are striving to do is to provide people with a rapid medical response to give the best chance of survival in the case of an absolute emergency. MED Assist is a first responder-based company with the transport of patience done through an approved EMS Provider. Due to the fact of most people not having a medical aid most EMS services do not respond with haste. At MED Assist whether you are on a medical aid or not our goal is to provide the best service out there and make it cost effective to get you to the closest medical facility without the struggles of trying to get EMS To the scene. MED Assist takes care of all of that. We arrive on scene and assess, treat and stabilise while waiting for EMS.
